Who we are
Humble Hands Care Ltd is the data controller. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 14090799, registered office Hollinwood Business Centre, Albert Street, Hollinwood, Oldham, OL8 3QL. We are registered with and regulated by the Care Quality Commission.
To ask about your information, change it or have it deleted, write to the address above or email info@humblehandscare.co.uk.
What we collect, and why
- Your name, phone number and email, so we can ring or write back about your enquiry
- The town care is needed in, to check we cover it before we take up your time
- Who the care is for, what help is needed and how soon, so whoever rings you already understands the situation
- Anything you write in the notes box, which is only ever what you choose to tell us. Please do not send detailed medical information through a web form. We will go through that properly at the assessment.
- Which advert or page you came from, to understand which advertising is worth paying for
Our lawful basis
When you send an enquiry we use your details on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to someone who has asked us to get in touch, and to take steps at your request before entering into a contract. We do not need your consent to reply to your own enquiry.
We only add you to a marketing list if you ask us to, and you can tell us to stop contacting you at any time.
Who else sees it
Your enquiry is seen by the people here who deal with new enquiries, and by the services we use to run the business. They act on our instructions and may not use your details for anything else.
- Luwados, the system that holds our enquiries and reminds us to call you back
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram). If you filled in a form inside Facebook or Instagram, Meta passes your answers to us. What Meta does with your data as a user of its own platforms is covered by Meta's privacy policy rather than ours.
- CareClients, a trading name of Taprave Ltd, our marketing agency, who set up and look after these systems on our behalf
We do not sell your details, and we do not pass them to other care providers, introducers or lead brokers.
Advertising and this website
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. If you arrive from one of our adverts we record which advert it was so we can tell what is working. Measurement tools may set cookies in your browser and tell Meta that an enquiry was sent, without telling Meta what you wrote. You can control how Meta uses your activity in your Facebook or Instagram settings, and block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
How long we keep it
- If you do not go ahead with care, we keep your enquiry for 24 months, because families often come back months later, and then delete it
- If you ask us to delete it sooner we will, unless we have to keep something by law
- If care goes ahead, your records are kept for the period required of a regulated care provider, which is explained in the paperwork we give you at the start
Your rights
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. You can also object to us using it. There is nothing to pay and we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you told us first so that we can put it right.
Keeping it safe
Enquiries are sent over an encrypted connection and held in password protected systems that only the people who need them can open. If something goes wrong with your data and it puts you at risk, we will tell you and the Information Commissioner's Office.
